@neauoire @dualhammers btw, you can use these radios for emergency purpose whether licensed or not. call for help on 146.52mhz or 446mhz (standardized “calling” frequencies that people typically monitor), or keep note of the frequencies of local repeaters. I always carry my radio w/me if I go offroading or hiking ^_^

Local #riverfire wildfire is 30% contained and evacuation warnings have been lifted. Glad our preparations ended up as a drill. I definitely have extra incentive to work on some small-scale woodland management.
